Flaxseed In Our Alimentation

   Flax seeds in our diet; A brief history of seed flax seeds originated in Mesopotamia and the first recordings of flaxseed in the diet dates back to ancient Greece. In Rome and Egypt, along with diet were used as medicines. With the fall of the Roman Empire, the history  of flaxseed has gone into decline. 
     Charlemagne was  a king who helped to "restore" fame flaxseed. After he was impressed by how good flax proved not only in terms of food and medicine, but also as a textile fiber, Charlemagne introduced laws which required not only growing, but consumption of seeds. In the U.S., linen was not planted until after the coming of the settlers;it was not until the 17th century that flax was planted in Canada, a country that is currently the largest producer of flaxseed.
How can flaxseed in daily diet? One of the easiest methods is recommended to take in the evening up to four times a week, two tablespoons of whole seeds or ground, with plenty of water. The seeds can be left in the cup with water to approx. 2 hours and then drink. For those who suffer from constipation in the morning on an empty stomach is recommended to drink a glass of water mixed with one teaspoon of seeds.
Another very healthy food derived from flaxseeds, is the oil which has the advantage that it can be used in foods easier than seeds. Can be used in salads, soups, etc..
If you want to insert the seeds gradually to your diet without excess risk, you may consider these combinations: 
  1. one morning you can add a teaspoon of seeds in the rations of cereals, in tea or a sandwich, butter or margarine directly, by preference; 
  2. seeds may go very bin and in combination with yogurt, cookie dough can be inserted in a teaspoon of ground seeds.
  3. All soups and salads in the form of ground.
